Sir Vincent Litchfield Raven, KBE (1858-1934). Last chief mechanical engineer of the North Eastern Railway 1910-1922. Superintendent at Woolwich Arsenal 1915-9. Knighted and awarded KBE in 1917. President of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers 1924-5.
