About this work
1852-1943 Engineer, industrialist and inventor of the bush-roller chain. Born in Aarau, Switzerland. Lived here from 1901 at Priestnall Hey. In 1906 he opened the Renold Chains factory in Burnage. (Heatons Heritage Society)
